Moore Haus Health Warranty
The following outlines our health warranty and non-breeding agreement framework. This page is provided for informational purposes. The signed contract provided at placement is the binding agreement.
Transfer of Ownership / Contract
Breeder and/or Owner, Moore Haus, hereby transfers the ownership of the following identified puppy to the New Owner(s).
New Owner (Listed Below)
Non-Breeding Agreement
I/We as New Owner understand that if we breed the said German Shepherd Dog (Microchip # __________________________) with intent or by accident, this constitutes a violation of both this Private Agreement and the Non-Breeding Contract.
Pet Quality Notes
Often, a fast-growing puppy will show subluxation only to x-ray normal when growth is complete. Subluxation (looseness) with no remodelling of the femoral head does not cause pain and could be a temporary situation that may correct itself.
No refunds will be given for a report of Panosteitis (also known as “growing pains”), as this can often be managed through reduced exercise and proper feeding, and is commonly outgrown as the puppy matures.
Vaccination Requirement
Please note: The Health Guarantee becomes null and void if vaccines have not been kept up to date. Should a health guarantee come into effect, a vaccine record from a veterinarian must be provided prior to any claims.
Health / Genetic Guarantee
Understand that with genetics, and breeding dogs specifically, nothing is 100% guaranteed. Although rare, even with the best planning and breeding, undesirable genetic conditions can occur from otherwise healthy parents.
Your (pet quality) puppy is guaranteed to be suitable for the purpose for which it was purchased. If you have purchased a Pet Quality puppy and the puppy is diagnosed with a health condition that requires euthanasia or causes sudden death within a 2-year period from date of birth, you will be given a replacement puppy of equal value (to be chosen by the breeder).
If there is a genetic problem within the two-year guarantee, a written diagnosis from a veterinarian must be provided. All costs associated with returning a puppy to the Breeder for replacement and having the replacement puppy shipped (if necessary) to Purchaser’s location will be paid for by Purchaser.
New Owner Obligations
New Owner must have the puppy (Microchip # __________________________) spayed/neutered by a veterinarian before the age of 2 years, and send a copy of the spay/neuter certificate to Moore Haus. The certificate must include the puppy’s Microchip #.
Legal actions may be taken to return the puppy to Breeder if reports of neglect are indicated. It is our sincere desire to find forever homes for our puppies. We understand that some situations cannot be helped or foreseen.
If the Breeder cannot accommodate the return, the Breeder must be contacted for approval before transferring the puppy/dog to a new family.
Agreement & Legal Venue
I/We have read, understand, and accept all responsibility of this Non-Breeding Agreement/Contract and agree to abide by this contract by signing and dating below.
Should legal action be taken due to a breach of this Private Agreement Contract, the breaching party listed as “New Owner” acknowledges, understands, and accepts that all legal action shall take place in Hamilton, ON (or nearest location to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada), and all legal costs of both parties are to be paid by the New Owner.
Note: This page is intended as an overview. Your signed agreement and supporting documentation provided at placement represent the official terms.
